My interview on iDeveloper podcast, and the new Flint site

This week I was lucky enough to be interviewed by Scotty on his and John’s excellent iDeveloper podcast. This means I also made the flint.tools website live!

In the podcast we talked about the origins of the ideas behind Flint and the basic shift in thinking it leverages to do all the cool stuff for you automatically. I really enjoyed it and I think it’s a great intro for anybody who doesn’t quite understand Flint yet. If you’re not already subscribed to the iDeveloper podcast, you can hear the episode online here.

I’m pleased to have got the basic flint.tools site together now, including the how-to guide documentation and the jazzy-generated API docs. There’s also new blog there for Flint announcements.

I have more plans for layout and content improvements over time, as well as some how-to screencasts, but… all in good time!

Marc Palmer (@marcpalmerdev) is a consultant and software engineer specialising in Apple platforms. He created the Flint open source framework. He writes native apps like the music practice app Soundproof for iOS devices for his company Montana Floss Co.. He can also do a pretty good job of designing products. Don't ask him to draw anything, because that's just embarrassing. You can find out more about him here.
